Meet new people & enjoy music together.
We are seeking tenors and basses in particular for our choir.
We are a non-profit community organization whose members pay fees to cover running costs, including the engagement of a professional Music Director and Accompanist.
Our members are from various walks of life, with a rich variety of experience.
The Society is managed entirely by financial members elected to their office at the AGM in accordance with the Constitution – all volunteers who give their time and expertise for which we are most grateful.
The Music Director and Accompanist are members of the Committee ex-officio.
We are looking forward to presenting this performance of Handel’s “Messiah”, and we will be joined by visiting singers from Noosa Chorale, Buderim Male Choir, U3A Choir, Oriana Choir, S.C. University Choir and other interested individuals. All are most welcome!
Tickets purchased through this website can be collected on the day at the venue, from 1/2 hour before commencement of the Concert. Please print out your purchase details and collect tickets from the ticket sales table. Queuing is not necessary.
A condensed version that is, and it is FREE! This is a fabulous opportunity for locals to get a taste of what an oratorio is all about without having to travel to the coast or the city. It will be performed at three locations, Montville, Witta and Mooloolah on the 26th November. This condensed version will be a half hour concert of many of the favorite choruses including the famous “ Hallelujah” chorus. No bookings are required for these free hinterland performances.
Of course we want you to come to the Concert on the 10th December to hear the full glory of the Messiah with Orchestra, but this may wet your appetite if you live on the hinterland…
The times for each concert are:
– 11am Montville Village Hall
– 1pm White Eagle Lodge, Tesch Rd, Witta
– 2.30 pm Mooloolah Public Hall
