ANDREW BURNS – Bass
Andrew was very active in the Sydney School choirs and in his senior years performed leading roles in Oklahoma and Oliver. Andrew then attended the Sydney Conservatorium of Music graduating in 1980 with a Diploma in Music Education, majoring in Singing and Piano. During his time at the Conservatorium, he performed leading roles in many musicals and operas Whilst in Sydney, he also performed leading roles with The Wentworth Players at Vaucluse and with The Hornsby Musical Society. Instead of teaching school music, he joined the NSW Police Force in 1981. In 1987 Andrew moved his family to Bathurst and kept up his musical interest performing principal roles with The Bathurst Players, The Carillon Theatrical Society, The Orange City Choir and The Allegri Singers. Resigning from the NSW Police Force Andrew took up a position of Music and Maths teacher at The Scots School, Bathurst for 2 years. He also taught Singing and Piano privately and through the Bathurst School of Performing Arts. Andrew has also sung with The Caloundra Choral & Theatrical Society, Sunshine Coast Oriana Choir and is now currently with the Sunshine Coast Choral Society.
